Martock Online has been redesigned.

We are pleased to announce that the new martockonline website is now available for all to see.

There is a lot of information to be transferred across from the old site to the new one, so we are making them both available for the time being so as nothing is lost.

Click here to see the new site and let me have your comments but please bear with us while we move the content over.

Andrew Orchard

The Parish of Martock is a linear form of development, and encompasses the settlements of Hurst, Bower Hinton, Coat, Stapleton,  Highway and Ash.  Generally, the properties are built in local golden hamstone, quarried from nearby Ham Hill.  The original part of the village, which can be clearly seen from the top of the church tower, includes some very interesting Grade I and II listed buildings; the Treasurer's House, the Old Court House, the Market House and the Church itself being just a few.

The village is popular as a residential area for all ages, having very good local services and community facilities, including post office services, health education and recreational facilities.  The local shops cover everything from butchery to hardware, and there are a number of sports clubs, an active youth centre, and an amateur dramatics society.
