South Somerset Market Towns Action Plan for Martock.

As Martock has applied for the Market and Coastal Towns Initiative (MCTI) operated through the South West Regional Development Agency we have defined our objectives as :-

Strategic objectives (defined by SWRDA for Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) bids)

1. Enhance the employment prospects, education and skills for local people.

2. Address social exclusion and enhance opportunities for the disadvantaged.

3. Promote sustainable regeneration, improving and protecting the environment and infrastructure, including housing.

4. Support and promote growth in local economies and businesses.

5. Reduce crime and drug abuse and improve community safety.
