Martock
is situated just 1½ miles from the A303
London to Exeter road, 6 miles from Yeovil on the edge of
the Somerset levels, and within easy reach of the Blackdown
Hills, the Mendips, the Quantocks, Exmoor and the Dorset
coast. The 50 mile long Parrett Trail passes through Martock
Within a short distance are a number of
historical buildings and sites. Well worth a visit are Montacute
House, Barrington Court, Muchelney Abbey, East Lambrook
Manor, Cadbury Castle, Forde Abbey, Lyte's Cary, and Ham
Hill. Other places of interest are the Haynes Motor Museum,
the RNAS Museum at Yeovilton, Muchelney Pottery, and the
Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre.
