Parish Study Groups

Study groups form an integral part of the life of All Saints and currently four groups are running on a monthly basis. Members meet in homes across the Parish and  most groups consist of about ten people.

The groups choose their own material and the present subjects are very varied. Two groups are using Emmaus: The Way of Faith; both are using different modules from Stage 3:Growth “Knowing God”.  Another group is using the Bible Reading Fellowship booklet: “A Story about Jesus” and the fourth group is studying “New Testament Characters” from the Lifeguide Bible Study series.

During Lent, specific study material is selected and this year there were five house groups with about fifty people taking part in the Diocesan Course of five sessions entitled “First to the Lord”.  The course was part of the Diocesan initiative to deepen discipleship and determine mission objectives in the parishes.

Following a recent Parish Review, two Study Group Coordinators have been appointed with a responsibility for publicising information on the groups, to research and suggest study subjects and materials, and to support the group leaders.

More information on the Parish Study Groups is available from the Parish Office; Telephone:  01935 826113.
